Iraq is the country I was born in so it has meaning to me even though I left when I was a young child. I am proud of my Iraqi identity even though the world might have an altered view of it. We speak Arabic in Iraq although there are other languages people speak there like Armenian, Chaldean, Assyrian, etc.

I chose France because I visited Paris a few years ago and fell in love with the architecture, food and culture. As someone who speaks French I was easily able to communicate with locals and felt comfortable navigating my way around the city.

Germany

Germany is the country where both my mom's parents are from. My Oma (grandmother) is from Berlin. Both of my grandparents speak German, but i can only understand certain words and count up to 10. I still have family in Germany and I would love to visit one day.

I chose Tanzania because this is where my parents are from, this is where I learned swahili and it resonates with me very deeply. I specifically chose stone town becuase thats where my parents were born and had to flee from because of war.

My whole family is from China! Even though I wasn't born in China, most of my family still lives there today. I love roaming the night markets and trying delicious street food

Vienna is where I grow up and it's also the place I enjoy coming back to whenever I am around. The language of the majority is German but at my school (and because it's the biggest city in Austria) I was able to hear, speak and engage with different languages from all over the world.
