If you've ever read Out of My Mind, Wonder, or Mockingbird, this book will be a pleasant choice for you. This story's about an girl who is an outsider in middle school, deals with losses, and finds the true meaning of family. I would recommend this book for kids in middle school since the book's main characters are in middle school, too. This story is set back in the 1960's with a family that lives in Flint, Michigan. Throughout the book, the family stumbles across many challenging discoveries involving teamwork, bravery, and love. If you enjoy reading loving family stories, this book is perfect for you! This fictional novel includes a combination of action, suspense, and a historic setting. Michael O'Shaunessey lives with his parents in Nazi Germany. Although Michael's a member of the Hitler Youth, he has a secret; his parents and him are spies. Micheal despises everything the Nazis stand for. When he learns about Projekt 1065, things get even more complicated. He must prove his loyalty to the Hitler Youth, even if it means risking everything he cares about. Including his own life.
