This impacts the patient directly in a timelier diagnosis/management plan. If the medical equipment is outdated/poor working condition this may slow down this process.

 Educators provide training to staff/patient on best practice guidelines or education on new equipment that is available. Staff in turn provide care that is underpinned by best practice/hospital guidelines. Education to the patient may increase independence.

If the equipment is too difficult to use this may prevent staff/service user from having the confidence/ time to use this. This may impact timeliness of hospital stays/ promotion if independence.
