2.       During this time of elearning, there has never been a time when I haven’t been hearing from them and/or receiving work from them. Even though this has been a difficult time for many of them for a variety of reasons, all of them have done the vast majority of the assignments and have communicated with me if they were experiencing any issues that might impact their ability to turn their assignments in on time. Despite the challenges, all of them have continued to make their education a priority.

3.       I have had the privilege of teaching some amazing, wonderful young people in my career, students that I will never forget, but I cannot remember a time when I have been so blessed as to have 100% of my classes be made up entirely of such great human beings. It’s difficult to find the words to describe them because there are so many unique and special personalities, strengths, and talents among them, but teaching them has truly been an honor (no pun intended). They brought me joy every single day we were in the classroom, and I have missed them more than I can say.

4.       They are my last group of students, and that alone makes them extra special. It’s simply not fair that we didn’t get to spend this last quarter together. I know we all feel that way. I am certain that we have all missed out on many funny, poignant, teachable, and memorable moments that never got the chance to happen. Even so, I feel like each of my students made the best of the situation in his or her own way and in so doing, made the best of my last semester of teaching. Simply put, as a whole, they embody everything a Stratford Knight should be, and I would like to honor them for that.

Also, his mother was AMAZING to work with through this elearning process, she should get a SLIVER Knight Parent award!
