REFLECTION

I got so much information about Islam and it helps me in broadening knowledge about Islam. It such a beautiful Blessing that Allah has given me to attend this Usrah. Thus, it also helps me in improving character and managing time well.

IMPROVEMENT SUGGESTION

I think everything is okay since usrah assistant is very good in handling usrah.

Week 1: In the first week, I felt very excited about this usrah compared to before because the usrah assistants were very supportive and energetic, which made the usrah session even better. We also got to know each other more deeply by playing the game “Two Truths and One Lie.” I hope this environment will remain until the end of semester two.

In the second week, I learned that the Pillars of Islam are what distinguish Muslims from non-Muslims. I also learned that prayer is the most important pillar of Islam because it perfects the other pillars. When prayer is neglected, the pillar of Islam collapses. Therefore, this should be held firmly by Muslims as a guiding principle to attain Paradise when their deeds are accounted for in the Hereafter.

4.Fasting in the Month of Ramadan (Sawm)

In the third week, the topic for this usrah is Virtues found in Salah with Khusyu'. So I learned that people rarely pay attention to khusyu', until they know that it helps us feel calm and focused during prayer. It also makes our prayer more sincere and meaningful.

In the fourth week, we learned about preparation of Salah with Khusyu'. There is so many things we have to prepared before performing Salah which is always be prepared. This means we have as a muslim always make sure that our clothes and places are clean before performing salah. Second, avoid makruh acts. This means we have to stay away from makruh actions, such as praying while very hungry. It is better to eat first to avoid losing focus in Salah. Third, tawadu' which means be humble and lower yourself before Allah during prayer.

In the week sixth, we discuss the topic about the virtues found in Zakah/ Sadaqah. I learned so much this week since we a fun activity performed by our Usrah Assistant which is Explorious where every checkpoint touch about virtues found in zakah/sadaqah. In this activity, we learned about patience, sincerity, justice, acceptance, together through hardships and happiness throughout every challenges at each checkpoint.

Assalamuaikum and hi. For my first task in Usrah, I am required to do role play either through video or poster in a group. My group consisting of Alesha, Aquilla, Adreena, Afiah and I were assigned the topic: Why we need to be Khusyu’? We chose to do a poster about this topic.

My Task :

My task of this group presentation is to explain the negative effect of lacking Khusyu’ which is related to the topic in this poster for the role play to our fellow naqibah, Sr Baiti.
