2) Share ONE improvement you think we can make to this trip to help everyone have a more meaningful and enjoyable experience.

2) I'd like to challenge myself to try more local foods and drinks during my trip. I'm not always adventurous with food, so I think this would be a great way to experience the culture and maybe discover some new favorites.

2One thing I’d like to improve during this trip is being more confident in talking to new people. I sometimes get shy around unfamiliar faces, so I want to challenge myself to open up more and build stronger connections with my groupmates and locals.

2) At the same time, I’d like to challenge myself to be more confident and open when interacting with others. I usually tend to be quiet in new situations, so this trip is a great chance for me to step out of my comfort zone, connect with new people, and improve my communication skills.

2)At the same time, I expect to face the challenge of adapting quickly to unfamiliar environments and situations. Since this trip may push me out of my comfort zone, I’ll need to stay open-minded and flexible in order to fully embrace the learning experience.

2.One challenge I expect is adapting to a different environment and working with people who have different opinions or approaches. It might be hard at first to communicate clearly or make group decisions. However, I’ll try to stay open-minded, patient, and positive so I can learn to collaborate better and grow through these experiences.

1) One aspect I feel most excited to contribute towards during this trip

I’m most excited to contribute my leadership skills during this trip. I can help guide my peers, keep our group organised, and encourage everyone to stay positive and respectful as we represent our school during the choir exchange and school visits. I also hope to set a good example by being responsible and open-minded while learning from a different culture.

2) One challenge I might face is adapting to a new environment and culture. Since we’ll be in a different country, there may be moments when communication or customs feel unfamiliar. However, I plan to overcome this by staying flexible, observing carefully, and showing curiosity and respect towards the people we meet.

2) One aspect I would like to challenge and improve on during this trip is my confidence in communicating with new people. I tend to be quite shy when meeting others for the first time, especially in a different environment. During this trip, I want to step out of my comfort zone by interacting more with my peers and locals. By doing so, I hope to become more open-minded, improve my social skills, and gain confidence in expressing myself in unfamiliar situations.

I am most interested in going to the deer plantation. I look forward to this most as I have not seen wild deers before and this will be an unforgettable experience, getting to experience wildlife and feeding the animals as well

2) Share ONE aspect of yourself that you would like to challenge / improve on during this trip. Why?

I would like to challenge myself by making new friends. Bring in a different country meaning there would be a cultural difference, I hope to overcome the difference and find something common and by doing so make new friends.

2) One challenge I expect to face during the trip is missing home. Although its not my first time being away for several days, but I will still miss my family since I rely on them alot. However, I believe this experience will help me grow more independently, adapt to new situations, and make lasting memories with my friends.

I am most excited to contribute the floor art as, I will be leaving a mark at the school, as if saying that our school was here, and will also help by educating the students on the theme.

2) What challenge(s) do you expect to face during this learning adventure?

sleep. I think being in a new environment and not being comfortable with the hotel's environment might affect my sleep quality. with it being affected my energy levels might be affected due to this

2)we may face some language barriers as when the indonesian students came to singapore some of then may not be so fluent with speaking english another is may be change of environment while being there as we may not be used to how are things being done there.

2) I would like to challenge myself in trying out new things relevant to their culture in hopes to learn more about the people around me outside of Singapore by learning some new words in Indonesian and trying out food I have never tried before.

2) The challenge I may face during the learning adventure is that we may not finish it in time, or the design may be inaccurate or messy. I plan to strive for precision and accuracy.

my perspective changed drastically. I originally thought Indonesia will be slightly messy with some rubbish but Indonesia was actually a lot more messy and there was a thick mist

my favourite photo is the one shown above as it the landscape was very natural and untouched by people, as compared to Singapore where everywhere is filled with skyscrapers and tall buildings

2) Its been awhile since i took the plane so it was touching to see the plane taking off.

2) it was very nice and it impacted me as I played alot of games with my friends

2) It impacted my perspective cause I didn’t realise how busy the roads are

2) Indonesia has very unique architecture and it impacted me as is a new experience to me taking a bullet train.

2.i chose this picture because the airport surprised me alot compared to the surroundings the architecture was very intriguing and it reminded me of Singapore's airport also after the long excruciating process of trying to pass the machine I was relieved to finally be set free from that process

i love the plane as i thought the plane was not big enough but when i saw it i thought it was okay.

1) Share ONE takeaway from the Taruna Bakti school experience that could be applied to schools in Singapore. How is it beneficial?

the environment was very different as compared to Singapore. I felt that the class rooms were way better compared to Singapore's schools classroom as along with the food. however I feel that as I was a bit unfamiliar with the environment that the infrastructure was very messy, with

a lot of connecting hallways and stairs.

2) Share ONE cultural experience that will become a lasting memory even after you graduate from QTSS. How did the experience impact you?

The food and the environment. The food was so much more flavourful as compared to Singapore's food although there is lesser food choice. I feel the environment was very dirty but the buildings are very pretty as it reflected on Bandungs rich history along with the architecture.

2) i think that we should be grateful for everything that we have in singapore as we have better conditions and more opportunities to thrive as a school.

2) The cultural experience of how Indonesians art of music amazed me, their beats of each notes are amazing. The host has a beautiful voice and sing elegantly. I admire her performance as a host and performer a lot.

2) The experience of my buddy bringing me around the school. She was very kind despite she was not my actual buddy cause the other one was sick. But she was really kind and even treated me a drink.

2) the sincere enthusiasm from the students of the host school especially those who were on the bus tour. They really know their city and could share with the rest of us.

1) Share ONE takeaway from the Taruna Bakti school experience that could be applied to schools in Singapore. How is it beneficial?

today at school I learnt about how important friendships are. as we left the school, out buddies even sent us off and we also exchanged gifts, it was a very touching as even two days together can form such a deep bond. I believe that how this can be brought to Singapore is to have buddy sessions so that we can form more deeper and meaningful bonds with our peers

2) Share ONE cultural experience that will become a lasting memory even after you graduate from QTSS. How did the experience impact you?

the cultural experience I experienced is the food. Today we ate some sweet titbits that were soo delicious. it tasted very flavourful and carried a deep and rich coconut flavour which is not common is Singapore cuisine which taught me that different cultures has different cooking style.

2) Buying the batiks. This can be worn during Racial harmony celebration in Singapore so it will always remind me of the time i went to Bandung.

2) watching the performance by the students buying batik and Indo snacks - so many!

2) The session of giving our gifts to our buddy. I was really exicited to see her reaction. When she gave me my gift i was shocked as she gave me alot of things and i felt bad that i did not prepare more things for her.. however i was appreciative of everything she gave me and i will remember it forever:)

2) we managed to go to one of their souvenir shops. And i saw many new things that i’ve never saw before. i think that we can embrace different cultures and learn how to include everyone. this can make everyone more united in everything they do in the future

2) One cultural experience that will be a lasting memory for me is the unique batik art clothes the Taruna Bakit school are able to wear every Wednesdays as my buddy told me. I find it amazing that they are able to bring their own clothes of batik clothing as all of them have special and beautiful patterns and design.

2) a new experience that ive went through which was an eye opener to me was the welcoming performance by the smpp3 traditional dancers. it was something out of the ordinary which i have never seen before so i think that it was rlly interesting seeing how different cultures embrace their own art styles, performing with passion

2a) I lowk felt like a celebrity today as many people came up to me asking for a picture and a guy who does editing and film had me to be in his blog that he is doing for his school.

(a) Seeing the deers for the first time. There were mamy deers and it was my first time seeing so many of them and feeding them.

1) Describe ONE area from today's service learning experience that you could have better prepared for. What would you have done differently?

I felt that I could have been more prepared for the hopscotch. I felt that the process of the hopscotch could be done more faster if there was better communication and preparation of materials. I felt that how this can be more improved is having a more clear discussion and if there are any questions that members are confused of they should ask the members in-charge

(a) Describe a NEW experience that you have seen today.

a new experience I've seen today is the white crater. it was very mesmerising and the scenery was breathtaking as the white crater could not be experienced anywhere else. the "smoke" from the water was very cool, making the scenery even more nice

(b) Explain a sound that you associate with Bandung.

people talking. it may seem a bit weird but compared to many countries I have been, the citizens of those countries are more quiet and talk among themselves, however the people in Indonesia here are very cheerful and welcoming.

(c) Share a scent that stood out to you today.

the sulfur smell. the smell was very interesting as it is a natural scent but smelt really foul. it took a while to get accustomed to the scent, but after a while the scent was ok.

2) I experience seeing white crater lake for the first time. I feel amazed by the scenery as the water is sulfuric due to the volcanic mountain there. The environment was new to me the mist of the water, the clear color of tealish water became a memorable experience to me from how different the vibe is compare to other places I have visited for photos and admiring the scenery.

2) We can help wake each other up in the morning so to avoid anyone being late.

one learning point I will take from this trip is to better control my spending habits. tourist destination tends to sell products at higher rates, me controlling my spending habits and these such things will allow me to use that saved money on other things such as local products.

2) Share ONE improvement you think we can make to this trip to help everyone have a more meaningful and enjoyable experience.

being more early. I felt that although I was also one of them that was late that if we communicated that we were late or tried to manage time better, the trip would have been more enjoyable for everyone especially the teachers.

2) Be more on-time so that we can reach our destination faster and do more things

2) One improvement to make this trip mote enjoyable is by giving us more freedom to order what we want for dinner. We would be able to try our friends food and our own thus, giving us a diverse variety of dishes, we could share and try while expanding our range of flavours.

2. I think we could have improved on coming on time as firsty its a hassle for the teachers as their time schedule will not go to plan and there would be a massive delay which causes our time we'll be in some places will be Shortened and we don't like that

2) i think that we can visit more heritage sites to have a deeper connection and understanding with the culture and people to make us have a better experience there. all in all im really thankful to have this opportunity to go on this trip with many amazing people
