Her accomplishments on the volleyball court earned her a spot on the cover of the official magazine of the Lonestar Volleyball Club. While at Centennial, Alyssa Kotomi Luhrs also attended two annual introductory nursing camps through the Collin Community College Nursing Program in McKinney Texas. Ms. Luhrs went on to attend Collin Community College from August 2015 to December 2018, working as a server at the high-end restaurant Kotta Sushi while pursuing her associate of science degree with a focus on microbiology and anatomy. She plans to apply this knowledge as a nursing student in the near future. In the meantime, she continues to work at the restaurant, where she handles duties that range from greeting patrons and explaining menu items to ensuring that diners are completely satisfied with both food and service.
