1: what genre is it
I found it in the romance section 
2: what’s another book the the author has written 
If I stay, I have lost my way,  I was here, just one day
3: is it considered a classic or a modern read?
I would personally say that it’s a more modern romance read 
4: has it been made into a movie?
Yes I believe the first book was made into a movie. I have not watched it I’ve learned the books are usually better anyway.

So far I’m enjoying the book. A short summary of what I’ve read is that our main character is a man named Alan who is 21 and he has a successful band. He’s from the first book and he dated the main character Mia in the first book. In this book I’m only at page 37 but what’s happened is Alan went to an interview with a snobby reporter named Vanessa for his music but she takes it a different way and made it about Mia. Alan ends up getting pissed off and he breaks the recorder and leaves. Alan’s supposed to be going on tour with his band but he’s losing his spark and he feels like he doesn’t want to do it anymore.
