It was refreshing because it was the first time to visit the National Asian Cultural Center before the exhibition. Before entering the exhibition, I was surprised to find such a cultural space in Gwangju. I didn't know much about Islamic culture, and I was ignorant enough to know what hijab looked like. This exhibition gave me an opportunity to understand the hijab and the cultural significance contained in it, and to look at people living with different values and thoughts from ours with an open mind.

I think it's because I wanted to learn more about hijab and realize that welfare and administration are connected everywhere through this assignment and show various cultures and lives.

Wearing a hijab has been debated for a long time. France, which is based on the principle of separation of religion and politics, legally prohibits wearing a hijab in public places and schools. Contrary to the perception that the hijab is a symbol of women's oppression, World hijab day is informing Muslim women that it means liberation, protection, and peace. Through hijab-related issue videos and interviews with Muslims living in Korea, you will have a chance to think about how we should view them. In this regard, welfare and hijab are related.
