1. Doxing affects family members not only the individual, exposing relationships, another ethical concern would be to expose legal consequences.

2. This case study would likely have a high risk ethics application. Working this way does pose risks to the researcher as the researcher may get potentially targeted, due to them posing as a potential threat to the doxers.

3. The population being researched in the case study was interviewing the protesters and the policemen and this is what our research is about. We are studying the social conflicts between the police and the protesters. This research carries risks of exposure of confidential information, with social harms and devaluation included. Benefits are the greater understanding of the dynamics between the police and the social activism.

Sara Singh's research involves high-risk ethics, as participants are in vulnerable positions due to unequal relationships and power dynamics through dowry abuse. Sara also displays the power of authority; therefore, she needed to connect with participants to create beneficence and merit through the community. Alongside, the risks of abusers and the wider community finding out about the study need to be addressed to ensure anonymity, and participants are assessed on the risks of their individual situation. Social, psychological, physical, self-worth, and economic harm can be involved. Risks to the researcher are to hold themselves accountable to ensure the data is accurately and fairly represented.

We found it interesting that the methods used to mitigate possible risks associated with vulnerable people in culturally sensitive topics was the idea anonymity to help with psychological and social harm in dowry experiences.

This was a pretty interesting summary of the case study overall. I found the "potential risks" from the (4a. info sheet) very interesting as everyone has different experiences individually.
