I think that manipulating light is a key skill

I thought the leaf is a good object to do because it's easy to recognise the outlines and it easy to press down onto the paper.

I would probably leave out the paper in the sun for longer, and also think more about the composition rather than putting some wool and a leaf on the page randomly.

I'm surprised that the process was as simple as just putting a leaf on a paper and then leaving it the sun. Although I know that this was the pre-made paper and there a more steps to making it from scratch.

It will have more of an organisation and more to look at.

1. What are you hoping will happen with your negative exposure?

I hope that it will show more of a story, or a proper composition other then just a leaf on the side of the paper.

1. What will you do differently for your second found object exposure compared to your first?

I will add more and make it more complex so that there is more to look at, and more room to grow.

It didn't turn out so well because of the light going through the paper, and that the holes I cut werent big enough. I wanted to use the white to make the audience focus on the focal point. the reverse of what a cyanotype usually is.

going into lightroom and boosting the black and increasing the shadows really helped. it makes it much harder for the sun's rays to go through and still put a mark on the page.

It might have an issue with showing the finer details of the face because of the black dominance, although that's a risk I'm gonna take just for the plan.

This really helps me relax because I was stressed by my own lack of organisation, but now that I just have to wait, I'm more relaxed and adopting more patience.
