Rick Riordan has one of my favorite series ever which uses Percy Jackson as the main protagonist. I love the tension in this novel. This whole novel has very amazing characters and all play a big role in the novel. As you read you question yourself what's going to happen next and how they are going to overcome problems.

I gave it a 4 out of 5 since the writing can be a little difficult at times, but if you can read well, this is a fantastic book.

Setting

The setting takes place in the Roman Demigod Camp as he stumbles there after the events in the previous book "The Lost Hero" He meets significant characters at this camp who come into the plot much later.

The Son of Neptune has an enigmatic and tense atmosphere. The primary issue in the book is Percy Jackson's attempt to restore his memories. As you read the book, you can sense how mysterious the tone is and how you never know what will happen next.

The Son of Neptune has an unsettling and scary tone. Only his name and the name "Annabeth" are all that Percy Jackson can recall from his past. This gives the entire book a rather tense atmosphere.

Percy Jackson is strong and has charisma. Percy proceeds into the camp, demonstrating his moral fortitude and acute sense of right and wrong. As the narrative goes on, he demonstrates his courage once more by accepting his companions' request to stay put in a dream and embarking on an apparently hard mission for a bunch of people he hardly knows.

"Soon he'd collapse from exhaustion, and then as hard as he was to kill, he was pretty sure the gorgons would find a way" (Pg 4)

In this page Percy is trying to kill the gorgon but can't because his sword isn't strong enough to kill them and if they keep fighting he would end up dying.

In page 106 frank was polishing his sword and then he remembered about juno, warning them to unleash death.
