The snake-haired ladies were starting to annoy Percy.

This is a commonly used opening line. The author used this line because the book it's the sequel of "The Lost Hero". The author didn't need to introduce anything or anyone since the readers are reading this book as a continuation of the previous book.

Rick Riordan has one of my favorite series ever which uses Percy Jackson as the main protagonist. I love the tension in this novel. This whole novel has very amazing characters and all play a big role in the novel. As you read you question yourself what's going to happen next and how they are going to overcome problems.

I gave it a 4 out of 5 since the writing can be a little difficult at times, but if you can read well, this is a fantastic book.
