Apprenticeship of observation describes how educators often teach similarly to their own teachers. I've had counseling professors who had a nontraditional teaching approach by being more of a facilitator of conversation rather than being the main speaker of the class. I would implement this as a school counselor by being more of an active listener who guides the student to reflect on themself.
