A summary about holes is that Holes is a book that is about Stanley is a boy who was walking under a bridge. Someone named Zero stole some really expensive shoes and was getting chased by the cops. So he threw them off the bridge that Stanley was walking under. The shoes hit him. the cops arrested him and he went to a camp where you dig holes 5 feet deep and five feet wide. Zero got caught stealing shoes the next day and went to the same camp and they became friends.

Holes is all about these kids who get in trouble and have to dig holes three feet wide and deep. Stanley is the main character he gets accused of steeling shoes that he claims , "just fell out of the sky." Zero who is Stanley's best friend ran off, and  Stanley went to go find him. They  were starving until Stanley found a onions with water under them, but it was night out so Stanley could barely see them. The onions were on what they call "Gods thumb" , but Stanley had to carry Zero almost half way up the mountain. My short summery is: Stanley gets framed for stealing expensive shoes. And he gets sent to the torture camp, Camp green lake. He meets Zero, Armpit, Squid, and X-ray. One day Zero runs away and a few days after Stanley follows. Then the government finds out about what happens at Camp Green Lake and releases Stanley and Zero (whose real name is Hector.) And a week later they have a party.
