I set up a mini-Olympic obstacle course using hula hoops. I taped 3 hoops together to make a climb through activity and parents held hoops for children to through balls through. All joined in especially the parents to have a go together.

I was blown away at the stats of people who don't believe play is important, are opposed to risky play or don't believe babies can play. What an incredible resource for children to be missing out on. In practice this drives home the need for risky and open ended play even in structured settings such as playtime.
