My mother enjoys reading books in her free time. She often chooses novels, short stories, or sometimes magazines to relax after a long day. She likes doing this activity alone, but sometimes she shares interesting stories with me and my sister. Reading helps her gain more knowledge, improve her vocabulary, and reduce stress. She says that books open a window to the world and make her feel more peaceful. That is why she spends at least one hour every day for reading.

My father enjoys gardening very much in his free time. Every afternoon after work, he spends about an hour taking care of the plants in our small garden. He often grows vegetables, flowers, and some fruit trees. Sometimes, I join him to water the plants and remove weeds, and he patiently teaches me how to look after them. On weekends, my mother also helps him harvest/ pick vegetables, which we later use for cooking. He loves gardening because it helps him relax, stay healthy, and save money on food. Moreover, it brings our family closer together and makes our meals fresher.

Normally, I don't have free time because of the amount of my schoolworks. But if I have some free time, I will do things I enjoy such as reading stories, watching cartoons, or simply just taking a nap to recharge.

However, my favourite thing to do is listening to music. I often listen to music while I’m reading a book or doing something else. Music can also reduce anxiety and also improve sleep quality

I usually spend time on myself rather than with people around me. So, in my free time, I prefer going out alone to hanging out with friends. I believe that spending time alone helps me understand myself better.
