I feel like the IPOP class was not necessary, it felt like everything we learned in the class we learned in our other classes. It felt like there was added stress in this class when it should of been a support or workshop class. When it came to assignments in the class I felt like it was just extra work on top of our other classes that was not necessary, especially when we were learning almost the same thing in our other classes. I feel like the class could of been more structured and not have random assignments given to us and having it due the next class period or the next few days. The content learned was great, but I felt like it was repeated information from the other classes.

I felt differently about each of the classes, but overall if I had to say one thing it would be that I was learning the same thing over and over. I think overall the professors should collaborate and make instructions clear. I get that some professors didn't give structure on assignments because they wanted us to create it ourselves, but other professors would expect certain things without modeling or clarifying what they wanted out of the assignments and graded harshly.
Lomeli's class-

Great class, good information. I liked that he was flexible on assignments, but he could have given models or explain the sections on the examples of micro teaching and unit. I don't think his whole book was necessary, great stories and resources but wasn't much of a correlation with the course. I did like how he taught us classroom management and gave us resources.

Macias-

Her class was interesting, although I felt that there were a couple things that she could've done to make class more effective . Spend more time on the theories that we were going to have a final on. Some guidance through her assignments or clear instructions would have been good as well.

Brandl-

This class was frustrating because I think it took time for new information. I think that the information that was given could have been given in Macias or Billen's class. Like discussed in class it was just extra work, that we were already doing in other classes. I didn't feel like there was support in the class with the other classes. Also for next semester if it turns into a class for just support, I would hope that Brandl would be able to give us answers on questions we would have of other classes.

Herrera-

This class was interesting I think it could be better by having the professor teach the context.

Billen-

I liked this class, it was really effective. I liked how there was information being provided that aligned with teaching.

I think for the most part each class is different and appreciate the information, but some of it wasn't necessary. At the beginning of the program like discussed in class there was negative aspect on teaching and how we should change the way teachers should teach...but then give us those alternatives by examples or scenarios and so on. One more thing if we are to do an assignment in our placement like we did for our focal student with iPOP or drawings with Macias we should put them to use. For some of us it was hard enough to get time with our group or focal student alone and to not even use the assignments is kind of a waste of time, only because we could have had more time with giving lessons to the small I&I group.

I liked all of the classes, there were some issues with all of them but the issues weren't that bad (Instructions weren't clear and everything was due for all classes at the same time). It would have been better to have lesson plans due throughout the semester.
The only class that I really hate and ask myself if I should go to class or not is IPOP. This class is not a support class, I feel that this class has just put more stress into my life. Professor brandl assigns things that don't make any sense (because we are doing those things in other classes) and makes them due in like 2-3 days. For example on a Wednesday she assigned us to do an observation at our school site, but on Monday the kids didn't go to school so on the Wednesday they went back I observed but didn't have time to type up my response because i'm busy all class period and then I have to drive to boris elementary for her class and she made a big deal because I told her I couldn't have it typed up. My point is that this class just adds more work onto our long list of things we have to do and it creates more stress. I have had a nervous breakdown and cry a lot because I get frustrated of all the assignments that she gives us (because they have no point if we are already doing them in other classes, why is it important to go see a school site for this class and do an assignment for it when we were already doing it for professor macias?)
I do not feel that this class is important at all because we all survived this semester without having the support from IPOP because IPOP is not a support class. In my opinion I think that IPOP should be taken off. IPOP is not necessary. The only thing I learned in this class is the create rubric but this could have been taught in any class like Macias or Billens class.
I don't know how to stress that this class is not necessary because it didn't support us at all and we all did fine and we all helped each other. I know that its good to have high expectations, but we aren't told on they syllabus what assignments we are going to have or how we are being graded. when we are docked points she doesn't explain why. I know a lot of people in the class that have felt personally attacked including myself, I don't know if this is just the personality of this professor but it is not professional. She should understand that sometimes things happen and we might feel sick or we can be having family issues/ deaths in the family. PLEASE get rid of IPOP, its just extra work with no support. If you cant get rid of it then please talk to brandl and make IPOP a support class that doesnt give extra work. (Don't use our names, i'm sure she will have our head and fail us next semester to get back at us).

I have had a lot of positive experiences in this program and cohort but here is my constructive criticism: The program as a whole needs more organization. One suggestion would be that each instructor creates a syllabus before the semester begins that lays out when things are going to occur, when things will be assigned, and when they will be due AND actually stick to this (this would solve the issue of the spur of the moment assignments like with iPOP). As a way to help themselves get on the same page, the instructors need to create a master schedule of all assignments and due dates for all classes and provide this to us as well at the beginning of the year. This makes things more fair, professional, and lessens anxiety for many. Similar to this, I wish they would implement ASAP the use of one google drive for each cohort. So Clovis Cohort would have one drive, within it would be folders for each class so that it is way easier to keep track of everything as opposed to having to have separate drives for different instructors and different google classrooms for each on top of that. I also wish that we would have new instructors each semester even if some are awesome because people learn differently from different teachers and it is important to see different teaching styles and make as many connections as possible. My last comment would be that if the school cannot require us to go to our sites before a certain date, no one should be sending emails to our mentor teachers that attempt to guilt us into having to go sooner. Many of us would willingly want to go, but some also cannot go early so to tell our teachers that we have been encouraged to go before the set date can cause guilt for some and could make those who cannot go look bad to their teachers...so overall this was not right.
