Bond Park

Bond Park is the largest municipal park in my hometown, Cary, North Carolina. It has 4.2 miles of trails, multiple athletic fields and 310 acres of recreational space. There is also a lake in between the park, called Bond Lake. I have been going to Bond Park ever since I was a little kid, and so every time I go there I feel a bit of nostalgia. It's a beautiful park, and I would love to go there any day. Sometimes there are seasonal events that happen at the park, or concerts, which makes my stay even better.

Bond Lake is one of the most peaceful places I've been too. I love to hear the sound of the rippling water, as I sit by the sandy area near the water. People rent boats, and can do paddling as well. I've done paddling before, and it was very fun and quite tiresome. The lake is surrounded by many green trees, which makes it a very pleasant sight to see. You can also always see people near the lake at any time, and some even go fishing in its waters.

Bond Park Lake Loop

The Bond Park Lake Loop trail at Bond Park, is a 3 mile journey, which is fun due to its ups and downs, and tiny bridges in between. Every time I do this trail, I feel very good since I'm getting my needed exercise, and also since I get to enjoy the nature around me. The trail smells like fresh air, and on a windy day, it feels amazing to walk the trail. There are many squirrels and people who cross the trail, and if you're lucky enough you might even see a snake! This trail is full of greenery, and so during the Fall season, it is very beautiful to see.

Baseball/Softball Fields

When exploring Bond Park, it's common to pass by the many baseball, and softball fields located around the park. Usually when there are games going on, you would see a big crowd seated outside the field, cheering on their family or friends from the sideline. But when it's empty, I sometimes go on the field and play soccer, since the grass is very well cut and smooth. The fields are very open, and huge, and so when you're standing there alone, you feel really free. You can hear the birds chirping some times, which makes it even more pleasant of an experience.

Lazy Daze Playground

The first time I set foot on Lazy Daze Playground, was when I was 3. Back then the playground was bustling with kids and looked way different at the time. The playground is surrounded by trees, and so when you enter the area all you see is the playground, which makes it feel like a special place to me. Unfortunately, there was a time where I saw a snake, and so after that I haven't really been back to the playground. But every-time I pass by, I see toddlers playing around, and going on the swing. It's truly a happy place for kids and parents, since they're having fun.
