Now I learned that it was just a matter of shifting my mindset and actually pursuing research on topics I'm interested in. The numbers and statistics were all intimidating and I had this notion that the topics investigated were always boring or uninteresting. Now, I realized that quantitative research isn't so bad! It's not as intimidating as before and the topics can be ones that I really want to work on and are curious in, especially from a communications perspective. Through this course, I was not only able to change my view but I was also able to pick up and improve on a few skills along the way that I can carry over to my future research endeavors.

Now, I don't hate it as much anymore, and I actually understand it better than I did in high school. I owe it all to the insightful modules, ma'am's fast replies, and my group mates!

After taking this class, while I am still not as confident when it comes to research, I can definitely say that I learned a lot from the course. These tasks no longer seem as daunting and it somewhat brings peace of mind, especially knowing that these are tools we'll eventually be using for our thesis in senior year. 

I'll continue to work on my weaknesses in research and will for sure remember these lessons. Although I still have some difficulties understanding some statistical aspects of it, this class has thought me to appreciate it more and I know that what I learned here would be very helpful next year. There's no doubt that I'll be applying what I learned in this class in my life and I'll work on improving how I see quantitative research.
