         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. he studied atoms more closely by shooting small positively charged alpha particles at a sheet of gold foil. the atoms thinly dispersed positively charged would not be enough to deflect the particles&nbsp;<br>2.<br>3. the effect would be like a bunch of tennis balls punching through a thin paper screen. the foil was more like a thick net with very large mesh because the particles would bounce back&nbsp;<br>4. he concluded that the atoms consisted largely of empty space with just some electron's. while most of the mass was concentrated in the center which he named the nucleus </div>]]></description>
