As the Puritans arrived to the New World, they set up similar churches as the ones back in England. However, land scarcity became a growing issue for them, so they decided to migrate to other states, eventually spread all throughout New England and even beyond it. They believed in living simple and peaceful lives while keeping busy and attending churches as it was mandatory. They lived in one room houses, wore plain clothes, had an education, and farmed and fished for food. However, those who would oppose God's will were punished (hanged, public whipping, stockades, etc.). [1, 8]
