Green - It was a take away session. This session further enhanced my knowledge about assessments in IB. It improvised my understanding of the concepts;

1. Assessment for learning (FAs)

2. Assessment of learning (SAs) &

3. Assessment as learning (Ongoing)

Green- Assessments in PYP should focus on the learning process, not just the product.

Orange- How to balance summative assessments with the flexibility of inquiry-based learning?

Green - It was a take away Session

Through the Assignment session, we were able to learn about the types of Assessments. As a Tamil teacher, it was very clear to me. The manner in which the doubts were clarified was good.

Green - Involve students in co-creating success criteria.

The learners should be encouraged to write meaningful reflection so that they can communicate their understanding in a better way.

Green: The session on assessment in the PYP was insightful. It provided useful strategies for effective assessment . I gained a deeper understanding of how to assess through monitoring, documenting, measuring, and reporting which I will implement in my class to enhance learning and assessment practices.

Many thanks to the session, it helped me get an idea about IB

Orange- There were a lot of new concepts and terminologies.

Green- Instead of teaching a lesson to everyone the same way, things should be taught based on the level of each kid's prior knowledge. (Know the student, what they know and what they can do)

Students should know the learning goal of everything they are being asked to do.

Co-constructing success criteria so that they get a chance to self reflect on their own.

The session was insightful and gave a clear understanding of how PYP assessments emphasize both the learning process and its outcomes. I am eager to implement these ideas in my teaching.
