My quote is.
“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined” -Henry David Thoreau
Confidently chase your dreams and go after the things that make you happy, never let anything stop you. Work for the life you dream.
Two tenets that tie in with this quote are:
-Intuition can lead to knowledge (follow your heart) because the best decision anyone can make is to follow their heart for the right answer, in order to follow your dreams one must follow their heart first.
-Trust in higher Self because when you want to accomplish anything you have to be able to trust yourself to push through all of the challenges

The author that best articulates

i think the author that best articulates the idea that one's spiritual well being is more important than one's financial or social well being is Ralph Waldo Emerson because he always tends to focus on how he can make himself better for himself and not others, in 'Self Reliance' (P.362 L.14) he states "nothing is at last sacred but the integrity of your own mind. Absolve you to yourself and you shall have the suffrage of the world." what Ralph is saying here is nothing is impossible as long as you put all of your mind to it. He is also saying if you rely on you and only you, you will have full control of your life.

Another great example from Ralph Waldo Emerson is still from 'Self Reliance' (P.364 L.19-26)
"but those impulses may be from below, not from above. They do not seem to me to be such; but if I am the Devil's child, I will live then from the Devil. No law can be sacred to me but that of my nature. Good and bad are but names very readily transferable to that or this; the only right is what is after my constitution, the only wrong what is against it..... What I must do is all that concerns me, not what the people think. This rule equally arduous in actual and in intellectual life, may serve for the whole distinction between greatness and meanness." What Ralph is saying in this dialog is that if his actions were of bad nature he would be the Devil's child, not God's child . No law is sacred to him unless that law is against his nature. Good and bad are just miscellaneous words we use, they don't mean anything unless they are proven to be so. All that he does with his life is his personal business and does not concern anyone else, this life standard he holds helps determine what greatness and meanness.

Transcendental Art

What makes this piece of art transcendental is, a transcendental is sitting in the middle of a mountain scene meditating and finding peace within themselves, connecting to the higher person. The sensory details used here are sight, seeing the sights around you to get lost in, touch, feeling the breeze and the ground underneath, smell, smelling the air, the water, the wet leaves, the wet ground, the smell from animals and plants in the area.
What I learn about myself within the picture is that in order to have a good mental state I need to find my inner peace and that going out and being involved in nature helps me be calm and collective.

The song I chose was a classic by Louis Armstrong 'What a Wonderful World' this song represents transcendentalism by singing about all the things he sees in nature and the good that people do.
The three lines I chose from the song to tie to a tenet are "I see trees of green. Red roses too, I see them bloom..." and " I see skies of blue and clouds of white. The bright blessed day. The dark sacred night." The tenets theses lines tie to are A close relationship with nature because he goes into detail about all the things he sees.
LINK TO SONG
https://youtu.be/A3yCcXrE
