A resilient mindset is also important to develop in our students. Students should be allowed to make decisions about their education. Teachers must model and support resiliency in their students. This will help them in developing a growth mindset and positive self-image.

Resilient mindset is vital to the growth mindset. Struggle and challenge are the cogs that result in real and authentic learning. It is important that students understand that challenge is good and that you as the teacher are there to help support them and that they can succeed.
Wait time allows students space to think and process information which results in better understanding.

This just confirms for me that the time I spend in building relationships with my students is very well spent. It also shows me three things I need to work on.
1. More wait time
2. More structured challenges with support.
3. More positive intentions, on a daily basis. Trying not to let my own life interfere with my mood and environment in my classroom.
