In this poem when one of the runner falls down and struggles to move ahead, the other eight players stop and come back to help him. Whereas in real life this can rarely happen. I cannot say that no one would help or show sympathy, but unlike this race all the runners wouldnot have come back and only one or two runners would help. Here when only one or two people must have helped the boy, there would be only three winners and the boys who helped and fall would be demotivated.
