When I was a baby, I depended on others for everything. But as I grew older, I started exploring, learning, and becoming more independent. I began to understand myself better my strengths, weaknesses, and the kind of person I want to be. Learning about Piaget’s and Erikson’s theories made me understand that everything we go through has a purpose. Piaget helped me see how my way of thinking evolved from learning through senses to now thinking about future goals. Erikson showed me how my emotions and confidence grew through every stage from learning to trust others to finding my own identity. These stages also made me realize how important it is to have support from people around you family, friends, and teachers because they all play a big role in how we develop. If I ever become a teacher in the future, I’ll use what I’ve learned about human development to understand my students better. I’ll remember that everyone grows and learns differently, and that patience, encouragement, and kindness can make a huge difference. Growing up isn’t always easy, but understanding these stages helps me appreciate how far I’ve come and how much more I can still grow.
