They might drop art so they can focus more on music. It is well established that music and art can help the brain. When reading these articles, I learned about several new interesting points. one of them is that Hispanic and African Americans are less likely to receive music in school. this could have something to do with the fact that, as a gross generalization, Hispanics and African Americans are less fortunate and wealthy then whites. In my opinion, music and art programs should not be dropped because they are very important to the growth of young peoples minds. Also, there are lots of people who are artistic and are able to express themselves in music and art. For example, in our Quest program, you can get in for being extremely artistic and seeing things in a different, more complex way.
