The artist wants to convey the current damage to the planet and the wide distribution that the waste reaches. The “Washed Up” works were carried out from a beach cleaning on the coast of the ecological reserve recognized by UNESCO called Sian Kaán, in the state of Quintana Roo, in Mexico. This cleaning carried out in the reserve resulted in the obtaining of more than 765 kilos of plastic. This material was recycled and selected by the artist to create his interventions at specific points in the same reserve and later photograph them.
