Today on my journey I am going to launch the raft I have constructed. This whole sea and forest are interesting like the plants and bones I have found. At last, it is time to take off. Great news the raft works along with the makeshift sail. Oh, I’ve got an idea I haft to be the first one here and might be the first to fish here. I am, I got this cool fish “The fish had a flat head, round body, and the lower extremities covered with bony scales; its mouth was wholly without teeth, the pectoral fins, which were highly developed, sprouted direct from the body, which properly speaking had no tail”(chapter 29), but I have never seen or heard of this fish I have here. I wonder if they are more ancient creatures down here. Mean dinosaurs bird fish...I’ve fallen off the ship. Oh, but my guild has just caught me I’m saved. -----Bruce Kimball

Today we are going to launch the raft that are wonderful guide Hans made using the materials we could find. The sea and mushroom forest are as interesting as the prehistoric bones that we found on the beach of the underground sea. All of the preparations are finished and we are going to cast off. Great news the raft sail and ruder all work and well at that. ''About twelve o'clock in the day, vast collections of seaweed were discovered surrounding us on all sides. I was aware of the extraordinary vegetative power of these plants, which have been known to creep along the bottom of the great ocean, and stop the advance of large ships.'' (chapter 29) The rest of the day was about the same. About twelve o'clock in the day our guide Hans having prepared and baited a hook, cast his line into the subterranean waters. The bait he used was a small piece of meat, by means of which he hid his hook. Anxious as I was, I was for a long time doomed to disappointment. Were these waters supplied with fish or not? That was the important question. No was my decided answer. Then there came a sudden and rather hard tug. Hans coolly drew it in, and with it a fish, which struggled violently to escape. ''The fish had a flat head, round body, and the lower extremities covered with bony scales its mouth was wholly without teeth, the pectoral fins, which were highly developed, sprouted direct from the body, which properly speaking had no tail. The animal certainly belonged to the order in which naturalists class the sturgeon, but it differed from that fish in many essential particulars.''(chapter 29) I almost slipped into the water as I was thinking about what other fish or animals might be out there, but my worthy guide has caught me and for that I thank him.------

The air was thick with moisture, and a damp chill crept into my bones despite the warmth of the torchlight. The darkness enveloped us like a thick blanket, broken only by the flickering glow of our torches and the occasional glimmer of phosphorescent fungi clinging to the cavern walls.

The sound of rushing water echoed all around us, reverberating off the rocky walls of the cavern and creating an eerie symphony that seemed to be both haunting and beautiful. Every dip and sway of the raft sent shivers down my spine, and I clung tightly to the rough wooden planks beneath me, grateful for their stability in the midst of the swirling currents.

As we floated further into the unknown, I couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. Shadows danced at the edge of my vision, and strange shapes seemed to materialize out of the darkness only to vanish just as quickly. My companions whispered nervously among themselves, their voices barely audible above the roar of the river.

Despite the uncertainty that lay ahead, there was an undeniable sense of camaraderie among us, a shared determination to uncover the secrets of this hidden world. I could feel the pulse of adventure coursing through my veins, driving me ever onward into the unknown depths.

And so, with each paddle stroke and every twist and turn of the river, we pressed on, our spirits buoyed by the promise of discovery and the thrill of the journey that lay ahead. Who knows what wonders – or terrors – await us in the heart of the Earth? Only time will tell.

On this beautiful, breathtaking day, me and my uncle and our Icelandic guide have been going on a raft voyage, seeing many different interesting species. We saw a huge fish that was completely deprived of any sight organs, as not having the need to evolve them. I was stupendous seeing all these beautiful beasts. I thought that I had been dreaming, seeing this luxurious sight. We were surrounded by deep waters that would take forever to reach the bottom it seemed. I was going to touch one of the fish that seemed to be made of all those beautiful gems inside the rest of the subterranean world, but I fell and almost dropped in those waters. But thank goodness my guide Hans saved me.

Today during our journey Professor Lidenbrock, our guide Hans and I had to launch the raft we made and set off on our journey, all around us is just the sea and the never ending forest. I have found some really cool fossils along the way and some pretty cool fish. I caught a weird looking fish, here's what it looked like: the fish had an oddly flat head and a round body. The bottom of its body was covered with bony scales, its mouth had no teeth. The outside of the body had pectoral fins sprouted from the body, the fish also had no tail. We have never seen this fish before we believe that it was from the Devonian Strata that is supposed to be extinct. I have now started to daydream, my eyes are wide open and my uncle ( professor Lidenbrock ) said, " What is the matter Harry?" After that he said, " Take care my boy or you will fall into the sea." As he said these words I snapped back into reality with a slight jump that shook the entire raft and before I could catch myself I realized that I have fallen out of the raft!! And in seconds someone had a firm grip on my arm. As I looked up I saw that it was our worthy guide Hans and I am super thankful for him.

                          Journal entry No. 2

I'm so grateful that my worthey, Uncle Hardwig and Hans had found me! I wouldn't be alive if they hadn't found me. We are now out on the Atlantic Ocean on this handcrafted raft made by our trustworthy guide, Hans. The Atlantic glissins and glimmers from the overview on the raft, there also appears to be Under sea foliage moving like glossy strands of ribbon. This Overview makes me feel a little uneasy! I hope nothing bad happens… OH! We found the ancient fish with a flat head shape, fins that seem to sprout out the sides of its body, And rigid, bone-like sckals. This fish has truly fascinated me! 

I start to look down for too long and get in a trance, thinking about Gretchen,

 ( Which I named this bank by!) The timeline of prehistoric animals, And the ocean!

My Uncle snaps me out of my trance, being concerned about my well being. I was really lucky this time because Hans caught me before I fell in! I really hope all goes well for the rest of our journey, I hope the sight of land appears soon.

Today my uncle has decided that we shall cross the Central Sea in a magnificent raft made of petrified wood that our expert guide Hans has crafted. I have no doubt that we will cross safely due to Hans’ expert craftsmanship. 

I hope I don’t get seasick… I just stepped onto the raft and we seem to be going very fast, and I can’t even see Port Gretchen anymore. At this rate we should be there in less than a day! I’ve started to look at sea life to cure my boredom and I can’t help but be fascinated by this kingdom of vegetables. The sea is so vast and mysterious; I feel like I could get lost in its depths.

As I’m looking into the sea I see a fish. Hans gets some bait and catches it, maybe planning on eating it later. I wonder what it would taste like. The fish looks weird. It had a flat head, a round body, and it has no teeth! After closer examination my uncle tells me it’s a fish that was thought to be extinct! 

After that discovery Hans proceeded to catch more fossil fish. I soon got bored of looking at the ocean and turned to look at the “sky”. As I looked at the sky I started to hallucinate. In the middle of my hallucination I start to fall. Thankfully Hans catches me! I certainly would have drowned in the perilous depths if it wasn’t for him! I hope I don’t lose myself again.

We had to work with a makeshift sail on our bout, when we started sailing we started to see some fish that are oddly prehistoric creatures back in the ancient times. Soon we began to start fishing for these animals and I felt proud when I was the first one of us to catch a fish although the prehistoric animal looked a lot different then any fish I have ever seen before, it looked as if its bone structure is deformed or crushed. But then when I was searching for other prehistoric animals when the next thing I knew I was inside of this anonymous sea, then I felt a hand grab onto me, it was the worthy guide, Hans. Who had saved my life, he has proven himself to me.

So I am still at sea only because Hans has saved me from flowing away to my death. So all my thanks go straight to the proven worthy guide Hans.

Today me,Harry,Hardwigg,and Hans boarded the raft Hans built to travel across the Central Sea,which I have to admit made me nervous even thinking about it.When Hardwigg wanted to name the sea Harry wanted it to be named Port Gretchen to remind himself of Gretchen and they agreed.Then we calculated and saw we were going at a speed of thirty leagues in twenty-four hours and then we were hungry and Hans cast out his line with bait to catch fish then a fish bit the the line then Hans struggled to bring up the fish but did it and we saw it was a fish that was determined to be extinct this discovery was amazing to me and I made sure to remember that.While we were relaxing and continuing our journey I saw Harry was daydreaming and looking around everywhere as if he was in a new world then he was walking then me and the others saw he was about to fall then they caught him.Then once we all got a hold of ourselves then Hardwigg told us that soon enough we would get to land.

Today my journey was crazy but let's start with me, my uncle, and Hans made a raft out of wood to go to sea but not going to lie I was scared that the raft was not going to work. But right now we are going to launch the raft " let's hope it works" I said under my breath, apparently my uncle heard me cause he said don"t worry my boy it's going to work and we're off!!! "I can't believe it works" I said with a surprise voice "my boy don't doubt your uncle" said my uncle. Now we're going through the subterranean sea and before we even got to the subterranean sea I fell into the water without my uncle and Hans not knowing!!! The water was really cold and after a min my body was frozen from top to bottom and I had to yell for them to hear me but once they heard me they pull me up and the rest is history.

Today on my journey me, my uncle and my guide Hans are going to build a raft. Finally we got done building the raft said Hans. At last, it is time to take off. Awesome news the boat works. as we were moving my uncle saw a fish the fish had a big head, no teeth not even a tail. the water was going everywhere it was crazy. Hans fell off of the raft but luckily my uncle saw him. I soon started to daydream my eyes were open and my uncle said "what is wrong harry? Right after he said," Take care my boy or you will fall into sea." After that I finally snapped I shook the boat and I noticed I fell off of the raft...eight before someone had a hold of my arms I saw that it was my guide.

Today a new advantage starts, with me my uncle and hons we began. It was a dark overcast night, with a warm chill breeze .The raft voyage Me, Hans and my uncle built off of wood and vines it was finally done. Just as I stepped onto the raft I started to get frightened, my stomach sank as I stepped in. I had a bad thought I would go overboard and I would get lost in the middle of the subterranean sea. Just as we were starting to get more far out from shore there was a slight breeze, that increased in speed and strength. The weather change made me more and more afraid as the wind picked up. The waves were making the raft rock back and forth, firmly and forcefully, at this point I can barely stay up right. The wind abruptly stops and the only thing I can see is the empty open sea. With the only life visible is below the waters, I was amazed. At this moment I was starting to feel unwell due to the lack of food and being sea sick. Me, Hons, and my uncle all decided to start fishing, we are very hungry. Having very little luck with catching the fish, we were all starving. After some time we eventually were successful in catching a fish, even though it looked different we couldn't help ourselves from eating it raw. At this point in time we are still sailing the vast empty subterranean sea.

Today my journey was CRAZY!!!! My uncle and I went on a boat across the subterranean sea to get to the center of the earth. We have experienced so many things so far and I am so excited to experience more. There was a forest full of giant mushrooms. The whole sea and forest are amazing. It kinda freaked me out when I saw the animal remains. And the whole fish thing BLEAH!!!!!! Grosssssssss! Fish creep me out! Anyway Hans worked on the boat as I day dreamed about being home. I miss her so much. I realized that the boat was done and now we can cross the central sea. I was scared at first but excited to continue our journey. We got on the boat and Hans wanted to go fishing so he sat on the edge of the boat and startin catching fish. He caught at least four fish before the boat flipped over and everything fell. Luckily we caught what we needed and flipped the boat back over. We were all soaked in water and everything was wet. It was sunny today so luckily it all dried and we all went to sleep and ventured off.

Today we had planned to start our voyage on a raft so while Hans, my guide,  was crafting the raft that we would continue our journey on to go across the Central Sea, I was fishing. Though, while I was fishing I caught a strange fish, not exactly appealing but it was just something you wouldn’t normally see. it looked prehistoric and just weird, almost as if it was from the Devonian period. As I had thoughts about this fish there was a breeze in the air. This fish had a big round body accompanied with a flat head and fins on its chest sprouting up.

Though I’m usually right I have never been infallible so I was starting to second guess my thoughts about the fish originating from the Devonian period. When I got on the raft, even though we were mostly guided by the wind, Hans was as good a sailor as he was a hunter! He really did show his ingenuity and usefulness to us.

The view of these murky waters and gray sky was a stupendous view but it did give me a sort of tranquil feeling. That is really a summary of what happened today and I hope for more experiences like today.

Today while Hans was building the raft there was a stupendous view, the sky, the waters, it was all so beautiful. Even though I had caught this weird fish with a flat head, fat body and fins on its chest sprouting up, I still was excited to go on this voyage across the central sea, no matter if there was no land across, my uncle said this weird fish was apart of an extinct family, the remaining fossils were found in devonian strata.

I looked at this “fish” closer myself. I convinced myself that this was full of extinct fish and fossils. These fish were more like reptiles. I took the telescope and looked at the sea and the mysterious sky. I was in a waking dream seeing all extinct animals everywhere. Once I snapped out of it I almost fell into the sea. My uncle, worried, told me not to fall

Today me,my uncle and Hans built a raft out of the supplies around us, there wasn't much but it would do. When we were done building the raft I stepped one foot into that raft and I started to question if it would even hold my weight up or if it would just break. While we were still close to the shore I see some really cool plants and trees there weren't many but some were green with a red tip and some were small tiny blue flowers. After a while we were a little ways from the shore and it was just small waves here and there, well for a while anyway, the cold breeze felt really nice on my face. We stopped since we were all hungry and there just so happened to be a passing fish, so Hans jumped in and grabbed the fish with his bare hands, it sent a shiver down my spine since I thought of how cold the water was and how Hans didn't have any change of cloths. the fish did fill me up for a while I was really hungry so I ate every single last crum making sure nothing was left, and of course Hans and my uncle ate there fare share of the fish. So I am no longer hungry for now. The waves started to get bigger as the wind was picking up I will get back if anything happened to us or the raft but that's all I've done and all that has happened for now. -Axle

my solution to the emotions and thoughts would be to stay calm and not frantically shake the raft or break the raft and to just close my eyes and imagine that I was on the safest place on the entire planet and wait for the ride to be over and continue our journey to the center of the earth. But if those strategies didn't work I would just fall asleep and try not to focus to much on it and then when I wake up we would probably be where we need to be to finish the journey to the center of the earth

I was on a raft made out of limited amount of stuff I woulden't trust It that much depending on how tuff but with all three of us I would be scared because of the weight but I would problemly fall asleep untill we reach land or to eat drick or restroom but other then that I would be asleep most of the time but really I would try to be awake to try experience the journey because if you know me personally you would know that I like walking experiencing life and geology

I slowly approach the side of the raft as it rocks back and forth. I notice my reflection in the water swirling as the waves pass by. I tap the water lightly as soon as my finger reaches the water and my reflection vanishes. The water was cold and icy. The raft suddenly hits a wave and I fall into the water. As I fall I try to hold on to the raft but the cold water is pushing against my body and eventually I lose all my strength.

I try to swim upward but it's no use. I start to fall deeper and deeper in the water. I have no more strength back on the raft. I lay in the water accepting my fate. When I look over one more time I see a huge fish swimming towards me. I try to scream but I have no air for any sound to escape. Before the fish can even get close to me I get pulled upwards, but by what? My eyes have been filled with salt water. I get pulled up onto the raft and as soon as I do I choke up water.

I finally can see a bit. My vision is quite blurry but I can make out that the professor is kneeling down beside me and Hans is sitting right beside him. Right when my vision finally clears up thunder strikes and the boat starts rapidly rocks. The whole group holds onto the raft for dear life.

I'm documenting everything in the central sea. We were hungry and Hans had caught a fish. It was so beautiful, I had just seen many prehistoric fish.Turns out it was a blind fish, we continued to catch more prehistoric fish and they were all blind. Then I was daydreaming about the prehistoric animals but again, I snapped back to reality. I had almost drowned,my uncle started to berated me for daydreaming and for almost following off the raft. I miss my dear Gretchen but this journey has been the best.

So far me, my uncle and Hawns all got on a raft. We have no clue where we are going. We don't even know if there's another land but my uncle thinks there is. I don't think so but he is almost positive there. I love my uncle so i'll let him think that but i don't agree. 

I love my uncle so i'll let him thank whatever he wants to think and i'll follow him cause i love him i'll go wherever he needs me to go with him i'm not feeling the beast on the roof and i'm a little tiered i keep missing my family we've  been gone for so long i just want to go to bed but at least i get to relax right now.   I miss everyone and i keep daydreaming about life off the raft i want to be with my fiance i miss her so much

                Today on our  journey to the center of the earth, me, my uncle and  my tour guide hans set off on a raft further into the center of the earth. There was a mushroom forest surrounding the beautiful but strange sea. It is all very interesting. We come across a fish, not an ordinary fish, one that has claimed to be extinct for millions of years. The strangest fish any of us have ever seen. The fish had a flat head and no teeth and was covered in bony scales. It looked as if it was dead. As we set sail I laid down and started daydreaming about being home with my fiance. Oh gosh i miss her so much.

Hi my name is Kaylee and I am Hans daughter.Consequently I had to go on the journey. When my dad built a raft I was really surprised that he made a raft with wood and a bed sheet. Harry went to sleep and almost fell into the water so I yelled “wake up”. But then his uncle said “take care my boy or you will or you will fall into the sea”. Then Harry woke up and I was happy he did not fall into the water.My dad went fishing and found a fish that should have been extinct for millions of years.

Professor, hans, Axel, and myselfare setting off  on a raft. We are on a journey to the center of the earth. We are going  to try and sail the central sea. The moment I set foot on the raft I felt a tiny tingle in my stomach with fear. We set sail on an adventure. The raft was kinda small made out of thick wood. We set sail on to the central cea! As we are on the cea we get hungry. Hans casts out a rod into the and hopes we get a fish. After a few times we catch something it was hard to bring up but we eventually got it. We examined the fish and that species of fish supposedly went extinct millions of years ago!

                    Today me Hans and Lidenbrok are leaving this beach hans built a boat that we are going to get on to leave this beach and i might be a little scared but i probably won't fall off when I step on the boat i get a feeling in my stomach i immediately lay down and look up at the sky then Lidenbrok says i caught a fish i get up when he reels it in i look at it and i can say that it's a weird type of fish i remember that is an extinct fish but there down here? How is that possible i say Lidenbrok says my name Harry Harry hello are you ok i look around i'm almost in the ocean i get back up on the raft Lidenbrok asks me if im mentally ill i say i dont think so.

Today myself, Hans and my uncle continue on our journey deeper into earth on our raft. As we go along I can see long black snake looking things I trench in fear, not seeing what's ahead of me. We all are hungry. We slowed down and slowly stopped  but the waves kept pushing us forward.  I pulled out my rod to cast a fish, at first there was nothing but I then saw something was tugging the rod. I then catch what sort of looks  like a reptile, but then was shocked that it was a  fish? This creature looked strange with a flat head, with an unusual body with fins on its chest.

My uncle told me this is  an extinct fish and its history. I stared at the mysterious sky and slowly started to hallucinate thinking about the history of these fish. Wondering how long they have been here and how they survived. By Genesis

today on my journey to the center of the earth we were on a raft and I was just daydreaming because we found a huge discovery, I just thought to myself that this is such a cool discovery then my uncle asked me if I was ok and telling me that I was about to fall off the raft, I didn't hear him because I was in basically a dream but my eyes were open then I was just about to fall when my uncle caught me and then I started coming back to reality when I saw my uncle and hans looking down at me seeing if I was ok, then I was back conscious and I could see, then my uncle replied there is land going to be up ahead and when I looked up ahead I saw nothing except misty type clouds, I got anxious about the deep sea ahead of us because when I went to look up again I saw what looked like snakes in the water I was terrified of what was ahead of us my uncle and I thought to my self, I just thought to myself are we going to make it will we die is there even land is this ship going to make and then I went unconscious again.

I thought I would have been dreaming. I started to lose my balance and almost fell into these waters but luckily I had been saved by Hans. That was close. As we all settled Hardwigg had told us all that we were about to reach the other side onto the island. I surely was relieved to get there safely. (sorry for being late)
