Henry Morton Stanley was a horrible man who went to what is now known as the Democratic Republic of the Congo on the orders of King Leopold II. His first interaction with the natives was non hostile until he decided to trick the chiefs into signing multiple documents that gave King Leopold power over the Congo. After that he killed, hurt and made most of the Congolese peoples lives a living hell.
