I think this value defines today's society because most people in today's society are pushing for the progressive ideas of change, especially in the political field. Today, people are focused on righting the wrongs of the past, and people strive to make everyone feel comfortable and accepted, two of which are progressive ideals. People in today's society work hard to push everyone into the future and they work to reform those who do not believe what they do.
