World Views:
The U.S. foreign policy must strive for order and security and engage with the world selectively.

Beliefs:
Protecting ourselves is much more important than helping other nations.
The stability and security if other nations depend largely on the United States, and therefore has the strength to keep these other countries in check.
The United States benefits from stability, so efforts to change the international system can cause disorder and conflict.

Policies:
Building alliances with other countries can protect our interests and security abroad.
The increase of flexibility of our military can help to quick responses to future threats.
Pursue environmentally-friendly technologies and products and also encourage other nations to do so.

Arguments for:
It is good to maintain alliances, as involvement can reduce war. A forceful but selective U.S. can discourage other powers with just the U.S.'s presence. The U.S. can also benefit from expansion.

Arguments against:
The U.S. would be resented, and alliances with dictators will cause controversy. It also does not help the larger issues at hand. These small issues are only distractions. Even if everything is planned out carefully, it will eventually collapse.
