The speech at Zion Hill by Martin Luther King jr is one of the most encouraging speeches ive ever heard from him besides the i have a dream speech. This speech is talking about how throughout the years how black people where always put in position where they where set up for failure. How the Author encouraged them to stay strong and be able to encourage them to do the best they can in the field that they pursue. when he say “ And even after slavery ended the Negro discovered that he was confronting a new type of slavery’’ this shows how people where discouraging are people and making us seem as if we were all the bad ones. What i think he is trying to do in this speech is fight for the rights for black peoples futures and motivate them to continue to grind and work to that level where they want to be anything .

Segregation Was very important to the society due to people being separated by color, this became a law several times in the 19th -20th amendment. As Jim crow was present the colored made codes which were known as the black codes The codes ensured Black people’s availability for cheap labor after slavery was abolished. In 1896 the Supreme Court ruled this case of segregation and made it as to be separate but equal. Segregation impacted the blacks as to where they can live at which they called this “housing segregation” they targeted black people that if lower income families can’t move into middle income neighborhoods this only affected black people due to segregation.
