In this article it covers a relationship between Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny. Two celebrity giants at the current moment. This is fairly stunning considering Kendall is months out of a 2 year relationship with NBA star Devin Booker. Which in the article covers drama between the NBA star and Latin Trap Artist. I like many other are curious if this is a real loving relationship or a publicity stunt to grow each others brands. In "The Economy of Celebrity" by Gramme Turner he distinguishes how celebrity and industries are interdependent and how they co-exist to generate revenue and maintain cultural relevance. One thing to note is that they are doing in this for a goal and purpose to grow and develop their respective brands and image. It may seem that this is what is happening here with the stirring of drama, excess publicity events, and the spotlight both celebrities have at the moment.

This article highlights the main points covered in Arianas 3-minute TikTok Video in which she sheds light on the health of body's and her struggles with being a person who's paid very close attention to. She wants her audience to understand that there is no standard to a "healthy body". "Healthy" can look in different in different types of body and also given the situation that a person is in. She mentions a low point in her life when she was abusing her body with alcohol, pills and bad eating habits. At this point in her life the media and fans glorified her body as the standard for beauty and health. She ends the video preaching the practice of mindfulness stating "you never know what someone is going through, so even if you're coming from a loving place or a caring place, that person probably is working on it".
I see a connection to the article and Parasocial Interactions by Horton and Wohl. Parasocial interactions can provide a sense of companionship or social support for some individuals, they can also have negative consequences, such as increased feelings of loneliness or blurring the line between fantasy and reality. Therefore, it is important to recognize the existence of parasocial interactions and to be mindful of the potential impact they can have on individuals which is what Grande tackles in her TikTok video.

In this article, we are draw attention to NBA superstar Jason Tatum in which he apologizes for "not taking care of business" in game 5 of the NBA playoffs. Allowing the Atlanta Hawks to force a game 6. This sequence of events had unfortunate implications on "Legend" Janet Jackson as she was supposed to perform a concert in the Atlanta home stadium. Tatum stated that the postponed concert was his fault as the team should have closed out the Hawks in game 5. While this may seem like a simple interaction we can throughly analyze it using the The Assembly Line of Greatness: Celebrity in Twentieth-Century America by Joshua Gamson. We can see how the production of celebrity has become industrialized, with media conglomerates, talent agencies, and public relations firms working together to create and promote celebrities. And how celebrities serve as a form of cultural currency, with their fame and success reflecting and reinforcing cultural values and ideals. Essentially showing us that Tatum's apology is a reflection of his cultural values and ideals displaying his character to the media and fans.

This People's magazine article covers recent feuds between Kanye West and Adidas. It summarizes recent events, in which Kanye West takes to instagram stating "I'm not standing for this blatant copying no more". Calling out Adidas for stealing his creative ideas and using it for their own agenda. Kanye was left out of his YEEZY-planning as he said "Adidas made up the Yeezy Day idea without my approval". The article also mentions celebrities that are backing up Kanye, including artists such as Rapper T.I, Swiss Beatz, and Diddy. They article also mention that Adidas has not spoken on the situation and the only insight given from their perspective was a quote from Kanye stating "Adidas don't want no more smoke".
This article heavily relates to "The Economy of Celebrity" by Gramme Turner in which we learn that industries like Adidas co-exists with celebrities like Kanye to generate revenue and maintain cultural relevance. The purpose of the partnership is to make each other look good. However, in this instance consumers are getting insight into the negatives into partnerships like this. In which, a member of the partnership takes control of the celebrities work and uses it for their personal agenda. And while they may have their own motive us consumers are not given insight into their perspective. However, this is a clothing brand deal. As consumers we are used to celebrities calling out the music industry. For a clothing brand like Adidas to be put on blast by Kanye West for plagiarism is a a big concern. It is not a good look for the brand. And as People Magazine notes other artists want their fans to participate in a boycott of the Adidas brand.

In this article consumer are given a brief overview of the Newley relationship between Pete Davidson and Case Sui Wonders. These two actors have played an actual relationship role in a previous show called "Bodies Bodies Bodies". Now that they are playing another relationship together that is less toxic in a show called "Bupkis" the two stars have decided to create a relationship within their personal lives. This relates to the idea of "ordinariness" that Gamson argues. And how the shift in popular culture from treating celebrities like godlike individuals, to more of regular people. Peoples magazine is simply showing the relationship and its components. However. the article does not show the authenticity of these stars. In addition, fans and consumers are not dealt an insight into the legitimacy of the relationship even from the stars themselves. Therefore, fans and consumers either believe that it is or that it is simply a publicity stunt.

In this Peoples article it is relaying information about SKIMS new generation of models which include Ice Spice, Nessa Barrett, RAYE, and Pinkpantheress. These models come from different communities in the celebrity industry. Ranging from TikTok Tok stars to music artists. And the SKIMS brands themselves are lead by CEO Kim Kardashian. This article relates to the article by Horton and Whole becuase Parasocial interactions can have an impact on the sales of a company's products, particularly if the company uses celebrity endorsements or collaborations as a marketing strategy. When fans engage in parasocial interactions with their favorite celebrities, they often develop a sense of trust and loyalty towards them. This can translate into a willingness to purchase products that are associated with the celebrity.

This Peoples article cover the relationship history between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. (I had no prior knowledge to their relationship and after reading it it was really heartwarming <3) However, I want to analyze a bit of their relationship that is mentioned in the article as "January 2004: Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck break up". What couple seemed to bring up was that the media played a huge role in the break up, and cancellation of their marriage. As the article states that "Affleck reflected on how rude media coverage of Lopez was when they were together". The coverage of their relationship included paparazzi photos, interviews with sources close to the couple, and speculation about their future together. While some might argue that their relationship is simply a private matter between two individuals, the media coverage turned it into a public spectacle, with fans and critics alike weighing in on their every move. The relationship between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck could be seen as a pseudo-event in the sense that it has been heavily covered by the media and generated a lot of attention. Which is something the couple did not appreciate while they were prepared to get married for the first time.

The article covers a Date night between Tom Holland and Zendaya at the Laker vs. Warriors game. The article point out that the two stars are not wearing anything spectacular. Both in regular clothing, which shoes how normal they are to regular people. Which relates to the concept of "ordinariness" that Gamson brings to our attention. In that celebrities are no longer godlike figures, but rather normal people. I believe that this also relates to the reading we did on Ideology by Michael Z Newman in which the relationship between Tom Holland and Zendaya is a topic that has received a lot of attention from the media and their fans. It is an example of how the media can create and reinforce certain cultural narratives and ideologies, particularly around the idea of romantic relationships.

I think what I pulled from this article was the fashion that the Biebers had on during their time in NYC. I wanna note that it does relate to the idea of "ordinariness" but I do not wan to make that connection. I would rather focus on the importance of headlines. For example, the article is really not that important. And after reading this I was left with what was People's magazines purpose becuase the article just examines two photos of the couple on their date. By paying attention to the way that news headlines are constructed and presented, we can gain a better understanding of how the media shapes our understanding. Papacharissi's analysis of the importance of news headlines suggests that the way that the media covers Justin and Hailey Bieber's relationship can influence public opinion and discourse around celebrity culture and relationships. The media coverage of their relationship can also create a sense of importance or urgency around their relationship. Which is exactly what Peoples magazine is doing.

The Met Gala is an annual event that brings together celebrities, fashion designers, and other high-profile individuals for a night of fashion and entertainment. It can be seen as an example of the way in which the media can create pseudo-events that are designed to generate attention and reinforce certain cultural narratives and ideologies.
