Oak Island is a mysterious island that a very old pirate named William Kidd hid his treasure on. Clues lie undiscovered far, far away under the ground. On one of their searches, diggers found a stone tablet with cryptic writing on it. It says 'Forty Feet Below Two Million Pounds Are Buried'. In 1795, a boy named Daniel McGinnis and his friends saw a strange dip in the ground. They thought that there was buried treasure there by the notorious William Kidd (because this island had been used for years as a docking spot for pirates). They dug until they could dig anymore. They found no treasure, but came back years later to continue digging, finding interesting items like the infamous stone tablet. (Amogh)

There is a water channel or tunnel that floods the Money Pit on Oak Island. It's not only connected to the nearby ocean, but has a number of tunnels that branch out like a hand. Scientists put red dye in the Money Pit and forced the water to move out, which resulted in red dye being found all around the island, showing that there are multiple tunnels and exit points for these flooding traps. The island has an infamous Money Pit on it, which we know is something special because it has man-made oak planks (or flooring) for every 10 feet you dig deeper and deeper into the hole. Oak Island used to also be covered in trees, but many of the oak trees near the Money Pit had previously been cut down by someone mysterious to use in this hole. (Rencille)

Mysterious stones elsewhere on the island are lined up in such as way that they made the shape of a cross. When the discoverer of this dug under the intersection of the two lines that make up the shape of the cross, he found another rock buried deep under the surface. This rock had the letter 'G' scratched into it, with a rectangle around it and a face also carved in. Oak Island is a mysterious island right next to Nova Scotia. You're probably wondering what the big mystery is! A pirate named William Kidd had created a very deep pit, and was said to have hidden his fortune deep down inside it. The Money Pit was believed to have treasure like gold deep beneath.
