Dr. Selby speaks to her experience as a woman attending medical school, and then working in a male dominated field. She shares examples of the sexism she has faced from peers, patients, healthcare staff and instructors. As well as how she has learned to turn to other women physicians for mentorship and guidance.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Meg has worked as a phlebotomist in the Emergency department for the past three years. Prior to working in medicine, she worked at a local Ashland print shop for 35 years. Meg started as a temp worker and ended her career there as co-leader of all operations within the company.&nbsp; Meg raised a family of five; three college educated daughters, a son in the Navy, and has mourned the loss of a 20yr son, fought and won a battle with alcoholism, and provided endless support to family, friends, and community. She shares her experiences about working in an openly misogynistic company, feeling the coldness of working for large scale healthcare, and what being a women means to her.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>
