Bring Me To Life - Evanescence

"Bring Me To Life" by Evanescence portrays Act Vl because John Proctor is being dealt with a lot of things, such as confessing, believing god is dead, and facing possible death by hanging if he doesn't confess. He probably had a bunch of different voices in his head telling him different things, which is what the song portrays. There are many different contradictory opinions in the song that has sets off a crazy and pumped tone.

You Oughta Know - Alanis Morissette

"You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morissette is a perfect song to describe the scene in Act ll because there is a bunch of suspense in this act about the jealousness that Elizabeth Proctor has with Abigail. After finding out that John and Abigail were alone, there were speculations that Abigail wanted Elizabeth dead. In the song, while nobody wants anybody dead, there is a bunch of jealousness and drama said by the artist in her song.

This song fits Act lll because the topic of the song is the crazy emotions and thoughts that are running through that person's head are controlling them, similar to the thoughts of witchcraftery with the girls, until Mary confesses that she pretended that she and the girls were bewitched, therefore releasing her emotions that were running through her mind.

I believe that Another One Bites the Dust represents Act l great, because so many people are being accused of witchcraft at the time, that everyone is suspicious, and people are being accused rapidly, one after another ("and another one gone, and another one gone, another one bites the dust").
