         <description><![CDATA[<div>I use formative assessment everyday in my classrooms. I make questions, I ask my students to make examples or to solve problems using the aquired competences. At least once a month I formally evaluate with writtent tests and, sometimes with oral tests.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>My reflections</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I'm a Math and Science Teahcer in Italy.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>In our schools we recently introduced the concept of "competences" as goals to achieve.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>But even if we speak about competences, we still didn't do a deep reflection about school programs, about how many knowledges for every subjects we want our students to learn, and also there isn't a systematic form of cooperation among teacher. Many of us still work alone, without communicating with collegues about how to face the same topic from different points of view.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>So, of course I'd like to apply PBL to all my lessons, I think it would be great but I have to face up many problems, that are:<br><br></div><div>1) The school don't have enough money to pay materials, or external experts<br><br></div><div>2) The time: many projects needs too much time to be developed to became significative, but I have too many topics to face in my subjects.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>3) Sometimes I don't find a collaborative work environment so I have to apply PBL alone.<br><br></div><div>So we talk so much about competences but we still have a long way to go.<br><br></div>]]></description>
