I make questions, I ask my students to make examples or to solve problems using the aquired competences. At least once a month I formally evaluate with writtent tests and, sometimes with oral tests.

In our schools we recently introduced the concept of "competences" as goals to achieve. 

But even if we speak about competences, we still didn't do a deep reflection about school programs, about how many knowledges for every subjects we want our students to learn, and also there isn't a systematic form of cooperation among teacher. Many of us still work alone, without communicating with collegues about how to face the same topic from different points of view. 

So, of course I'd like to apply PBL to all my lessons, I think it would be great but I have to face up many problems, that are:

1) The school don't have enough money to pay materials, or external experts

2) The time: many projects needs too much time to be developed to became significative, but I have too many topics to face in my subjects. 

3) Sometimes I don't find a collaborative work environment so I have to apply PBL alone.

So we talk so much about competences but we still have a long way to go.
