1. I think collaborative culture happens a team grows together and works together to achieve a common goal.
2. Honest, kind, mindful, respectful, roles, responsibilities.
3. A new teacher - not just professionally, but socially too, to ask them 'how they are', 'do you want to grab lunch together'. Working on building that relationship with each other and making them feel welcome. Being a new teacher is scary, we've all been there.
4. Someone who makes 'triangles' within a team. If you have issues, it's always best to communicate with said person.

Definition: Collaborative culture, in my opinion, happens when different people listen and truly engage with others’ ideas and practices. They are also able to be open to discuss when others struggle and lift them up.

Characteristics: Being caring, being open to have an honest communication, and being open-minded to understand that people are different, incorporating their backgrounds, ideas etc. into your own practice.

Examples: Offering to take a class of a teacher that is having family or personal issues; being willing to share ideas that might help teachers, staff, and students; trying to change behavior/attitude/techniques when being told by someone else in the team that they aren’t working well in their classrooms, etc.

Non-examples: Saying and thinking that your way is the only right way; refusing to admit when your practice isn’t being accepted by students or colleagues; taking things personally when challenged; not being open to be helpful and flexible when others need it, etc.
