1. The Fox and the Grapes- This book taught me that you must put in work to achieve a goal and that just because something doesn't go in your favor do not envy it.
2. Written in Bone- This book allowed me to realize that every experience, past, or form of history has an even deeper meaning. The way that the authors used scientific research to dive deeper into the past of Jamestown, whose historical impact would impact everyone in American society, whether negative or positive, inspired me to think more critically.

Looking for Alaska - This book was really good, I related with the characters and fell in love with John Green’s writing, and it taught me to not take life for granted, just enjoy the moment and where you are.
2. I Love You Forever - This was one of the first books I remember reading with my mom, and it just makes me nostalgic and reminds me of my relationship with my mom.

As well as to not give up on what is important even when times get hard. It taught me that everything happens for a reason and that I can't control everything even if I wanted to.

2.) Through the looking glass impacted me because it was really the book that got me used to annotating and reading to comprehend and not just reading for fun. It taught me how to dissect a book. The Hate U give impacted me because it was a book based on real life and what something that can really happen especially in this day and age. I just really enjoyed reading it because I am a black women living in a white man’s world
