South Africa was colonized by Khoisan and Bantu people. It gained its independence on May 31st, 1910. It is a parliamentary republic. The two biggest religions there are Christians at 86% and the second largest are other African religions such as animist, ancestral, and tribal at 5.4%. The two largest ethnic groups are the black Africans at 80.9% and Colored at 8.8%. There are 55,380,210 people and the population is growing quickly. Their GDP is 349.4 USD and the GDP per capita is 6,160.73. Finance at 20%, Government 18%, Trade 15%, Manufacturing 13%, Transportation and Communication 10%, Mining 8%, Personal services 6%, Construction 4%, Electricity 4%, and Agriculture at 3%. One challenge they have is a very uneducated population, they will not be able to grow as a country if nobody know how to do it or run it. South Africa is a perforated state because Lesotho is right in the middle of it and Swaziland is in part of it, South Africa also has a Mediterranean climate.

A colonial entrepreneur name Cecil John Rhodes. Zimbabwe gained independence on April 18th, 1980. They have a semi-presidential republic and the two highest ethnic groups are African at 99.4% and others at 0.4%.The two most popular religions are protestant at 74.8% and Roman Catholics at 7.3%. Zimbabwe's population is 14, 030, 368 people and they are experiencing population growth at a steady pace. Zimbabwe's GDP is 17.85 billion USD and their GDP per capita is 1,079.61 USD.Two highest economic sectors are Agriculture, forestry, and fishing as well as distribution, hotels, and restaurants that are both at 18%, manufacturing at 17%, transport and communications, and mining and quarry both at 5%, public administration 4%, and other things at 33%. One of Zimbabwe's major challenge is their bad and worsening economy which keeps kids at home and not at school because parents aren't getting paid. This forces the family to keep everyone working to keep the economy running and to make ends meet. Zimbabwe doesn't fit any of the definitions of the states and their climate is varied, there are dry seasons, cool seasons, and wet seasons.
