She also shared news with other Jews in her village. For this, someone told the authorities, and Rosa's mother now had a file. However, with the help of the village butcher, the file got "lost" and forgotten about.

She had married an American soldier who was stationed in Germany, and when he was transferred back to the United States, she went with him. Then, in 2014, her youngest daughter Elizabeth contacted the Holocaust Museum in hopes of finding more information about her family history. Elizabeth was able to connect with three more survivors from Gaukönigshofen, all of whom lived in the village at the same time as Rosa and knew her family. They all shared stories of Rosa, keeping her spirit alive.
