Good morning Dr. Wally, I am beyond appreciative of the time and effort you have put into our course. Not only that, you have shown such great kindness and poise in our sessions. I am so grateful that you taught EDL 629 during my last semester of my Masters. I wish I was able to take further courses with you as I hope to gain my PHD in the next few years but am honored to have this class with you. It is clear that you have impacted so many in such a positive manner and I am sure the list of individuals that accredit you is endless. Thank you for all that you do and have done. I hope for nothing but positivity and relaxation in your coming time off. -Jolynne Voorhees-Magana

Dr. Wally,
I’ve met a ton of people in my travels and have no doubt that I will meet many more in the journey to come. Everyone has a unique story and it has been a pleasure to be part of their stories and they a part of mine. Once in a great while, I meet someone who truly inspires me or gives me something memorable to carry as I go through my life. Imagine my surprise when we spoke and I found our lives to be reflections of each other’s, simply at different positions along the road. Your passion for education and leadership is clear. Your candidness, kindness, and guidance are beyond appreciated, especially in a world that increasingly offers less and less of those qualities. I can tell that the lessons you taught live on in others – they certainly will live on in me. I am both honored and humbled to have worked with such a stalwart educator. I wish you the best and many more adventures to come as you move from this part of your life to the next.
– Jason Pilarski

It is not very often that you mention the name of a person and LITERALLY anyone who has taken your class says how much they love, value and are thankful for their time with you. However, it is easy to see why they all feel this way. Your genuine kindness and warmth make your students not only feel capable, but confident that they can and will do great things. Your wisdom and life advice is invaluable, and it is something I will not take for granted. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from you and gotten to enjoy your welcoming smile. Your contributions to the world of education will be felt for many years to come. I wish the happiest of times in "retirement", even though we all know someone like you won't be able to slow down. Blessings to you and your family and wish you all the best! - Luke DeLong

Thank you so much for all you have done for me as I embark on my administrative journey! When we originally learned that our Principalship course would be online, I wasn't sure how we'd learn as much as in-person students. I can safely say I have learned more in our eight weeks together than most other courses I've taken in my life. Not only did you share your wealth of knowledge on leadership, but there wasn't a Tuesday evening when I logged off before gaining insight on life as well. One of my favorite quotes from you was, "When people share their time with you, they share a part of their life." I will be forever grateful for the part of your life you shared with me.

With deep appreciation,
Brittany Scheer
