The bombing of Dresden was a British/American attack on the German city of Dresden that took place from February 13-15, 1945. The tactic used during this attack is referred to as fire bombing. Fire bombing is when thousands of tons of explosive incendiary bombs are dropped surrounding a certain area, creating a massive fireball that consumes a vast majority of the oxygen, as well as causing massive destruction.

- The aerial bombing left a devastating effect on many civilian corpses. Their skin melted while the adults bodies shriveled up and any child ranging from 3 and under vaporized completely.
- The fiery square surrounding the city completely diminished the oxygen around the people; consequently, the fire was moving at a pace of 150 mph and the wind was burning at 800 degrees Celsius.
- The bombing was kept a secret by the US after the war, because the bombing was not necessary. The only reason it occurred was because of a promise that President Franklin Roosevelt made to Joseph Stalin to keep bombing Germany in preparation for the USSR invasion.
