         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>The nurse is either involved in the identification and prevention of burnout, or the nurse is unaware or not mindfully involved in the issue.</li><li>If the nurse is not involved, unaware of the issue until it occurs, or poorly identifies the issue, burnout or the likelihood of burnout is exacerbated. This relates to the individual nurse as well as the nurse in a leadership position, such as a unit manager.</li><li>If the nurse is an active participant in identifying personal patterns or providing leadership for others, at least one of the three areas contributing to burnout can be addressed or resolved.</li><li>Ultimately the nurse individual and the nurse leader both have roles in regards to burnout that can either improve or exacerbate it</li></ul>]]></description>
