To me the most interesting thing that came out of this episode was that the sun rise is an optical illusion caused by light being bent by earth's atmosphere. The only thing that worries me is that we theorize about things we have so little knowledge of too much and my example of this is black holes. Tyson claims to know so much about the time distortion of the future and the past that occurs in black holes but there really is no possible way of knowing. Science has been wrong so many times in the past yet we still act like everything we know now must be 100% correct.

Paul,
I hear you. Yes science has been wrong, but the progressive nature of the paradigm is that we correct and move on. I know enough about astronomy and physics to be able to say that I have faith in the scientific assertions Tyson makes without an experts depth of understanding. Hopefully you can gain a deeper grasp and find the same solace that I have. We are getting better and with minds like yours entering the fray, it will only get sharper. . .
