He was responsible for creating the light bulb. He is a very significant person because without him we wouldn't have light at night. Thomas Edison also invented the phonograph which which reproduced sounds by means of the vibration of a stylus following a groove on a rotating disc. He moved to Wisconsin to work for his older brother in 1837. People later on started upgrading the telephone to what we still use today.
