His plan spread far and fast which was risky but it help get support fast. He first got his brother Solomon and another servant Prosser to help him in is fight. His goal was to get 1,000 slaves to help him. He planned this uprising for august 30th. but on that day Virginia got hit with one of the hardest lighting storms and many people lost faith an betrayed him so before the plan could even start it was over, later that day he was hung in front of many people alone. At first they just went it to negotiation for New Orleans but later on since France wanted to focus on Europe and the things going on there so they offered New Orleans for 2 million and the Louisiana territory for 15million, the USA bought the land and started to explore. The army was only about 124 people but they all had guns and killed basically any whites they saw. they wanted to take the city of new Orleans. They were eventually stooped by by the militia and it was a two day battel between the groups. This was one of the biggest revolts in history from the slaves because they were close to new Orleans and the only thing hat stopped them was a militia.
