Response: We will meet every other Wednesday (2/3, 2/10, 2/24, 3/10) as a team to work through plans and next steps.
We will meet with the entire staff on the off Wednesdays to update on progress and get feedback/continued collaboration.

Response: We began by looking at our CSI status. We chose an area of focus: Suspension Rate, which ties into our discipline procedures when students are in person learning. We felt this was a perfect time to collaborate on a comprehensive plan since students are distance learning. We will look at discipline from a holistic standpoint
(counseling, social work, classroom, Assistant Principal, classified staff perspectives).

Response: We will take back what we learn from LACOE monthly meetings and work together as a site first. We have not done this first step. Response: Collins school qualifies in "red" under Chronic Absenteeism and Suspension Rate.

Strategies for Chronic Absenteeism: ACT/SART/SARB, Mentor Program: support staff calls and follow up with families, MTSS team approach to parent meetings concerning chronic absenteeism, attendance incentives including: monthly awards and local business coupons.

Strategies to decrease the Suspension Rate: Development of a team created discipline plan with buy-in from all stakeholders. The plan will include Safe and Civil strategies learned from the school district's training (last decade), input from a therapeutic, classroom teacher/learning, and disciplinary viewpoint. A multi-prong approach to discipline plan will be created.
