Lane here, and I'm finally starting the short ver. of Artificial Life, where I will try to post about random stuff everyday. I decided to start this today because there won't be a full post this week (if you read last week's post where I announce this, you'll know why) so I will be writing short post snippets everyday, with a random attachment as the cover, in hope that I'm still in touch with my journalistic side even when I'm in hiatus for these three weeks, because this kind of break happened before on last year's first semester's finals, and I ended up taking much longer of a break as I had anticipated. So, here I am, writing a very short blog post, and warning; the next posts may or may not be shorter than this, so see you tomorrow!

A journaling date idea

Me and my cousin (A.K.A. my childhood best friend) currently have shared a common hobby, which is craft/junk journaling. It's a hobby where you would create a journal spread about a particularly special day, printed and put photos of that day, and decorate it with whatever decorations and junks you could find. I've had this hobby since about 2022, and it started because I just bought a dotted spiral notebook that's perfect for the occasion. The same thing happened to my cousin this year, when I bought a dotted journal as her birthday present. So, this summer break, we were planning a journaling date, where we would print out photos we like, put them in our journals and decorate them with our journaling supplies. The idea is that we had to pick a day, week, month, or even a year to make a journaling spread about and pick a theme for it, for example: we picked the year 2024 and the theme purple lightning, so we will print out photos we have of that year and after organizing them onto our journal spread, we decorated them with random receipts, purple washi tapes, stamps, and stickers that goes with the theme. This could be a just-for-fun thing you could do with your best friend, maybe at a sleepover or a visit, so feel free to do this type of journaling date and have fun! Lane, out.

Last resort

I've always noticed that when I get really mad or upset, I always ended up resorting to blogging before I do anything I might regret later. At first it was just after a bad day and such, but then I would write whenever I felt just a teeny bit upset. It calms me down in a way other things can't. And I'm grateful to have this blog that I could always depend on just when everyone seems to be turning their backs on me. I know I don't have much (or any) readers, but writing will and always be my last resort.

Been busy

I'm currently writing this with my decoy phone (not the usual phone I use for writing) and everything since yesterday has been much. Much so that I didn't write any short post yesterday. Mind you, I also have my Duolingo streak freezed because of this Scout competition thing, and I have 250+ day streak, so I'm pretty much putting everything at risk here. But I hope I could pass this as a life update post because I can't focus on anything other than scouts today. So, see you tomorrow, because it's the last day of the competition, and I have to study for mathematics exam, goodbye!

Euphoric Outcomes

Yesterday is one busy day, especially because it's a full day dedicated to the scouts competition we're entering. Today is the final performance and also the awards announcement. And we've won in every competition we've entered, the lowest being 6th place and the highest being 2nd place. In short, we got a total of 7 trophies and a medal. We're proud because the scouts club in our school weren't that active before our new coach stepped in, and so, the results of these past three weeks has been payed off well in this competition. I admit, I had doubts about the scouts club in our school but this competition brought us together so well, and I actually felt a little comfortable with other scouts member now, more than ever. I'm ecstatic to see what we'll be performing for the extracurricular clubs showcase when the new students starts school after summer break, but for the meantime, I had to focus on studying for the finals, because tomorrow's mathematics and history! Help!

Planning a smartphone-free week

The summer break is almost here, and you know what? I need a cleanse from all this modern technology and go back to how it used to. So, I've prepared the essentials, some of which need to be bought first, like a Discman with my CD collections to listen to music, also an MP3 player for more portable music, a Nintendo DS Lite to play games, and my trusty retro Nokia phone to call and text my friends and stuff. I will pick a week on summer break and execute this smartphone-free week, hopefully when me and my cousin sleep over at our grandmother's house, because we never go through summer without it. On-air today

Today, I'll finally publish a real full-length post on my blog (Artificial Life Market) and the post wont be the continuation of the Laney's Guerilla Street art project because turns out there's only a week left in school and the last arc needed 2 weeks to execute. Anyways, it will be a returning post and a little vent about some things that's been happening these past few days. I hope it'll be a fun one, and stay tuned because it will be posted tonight (or when I wrap it up!).

Almost summer

Summer break is right around the corner, and I've got thousands of things I planned to do this summer with a close cousin of mine and also by myself, because school has been hectic enough on its own. Summer break started next week at June 23rd all the way up to June 14th. I'm a bit disappointed that we didn't get a full month of break, but it's also good to welcome the new kids early because the scouts club is going to showcase and promote the club to the new kids! So, see you soon:)

Been a while

It's been about a month since I updated this mini-blog, I don't have much ideas on what to post here but I also suppose that I forgot this existed until yesterday, so sorry for the wait, if you are waiting. So, a little life update about these couple of weeks or months is that I've been into musicals, especially Legally Blonde the musical starring Laura Bell Bundy, because a friend introduced me to the glittery world of broadway musicals and I've been liking it so far. And speaking of musicals, I've also been listening to high school musical songs, mostly Sharpay's and Ryan's songs, and I wanted to imagine high school like that for the time being, because I'm not happy with school right now, first days are the worst, and new classmates? Not the thing I'm looking forward to.

New author in town

This is a quick announcement post, because my apprentice (I guess you could call it that) will be joining Artificial Life blog! It's not a personal blog now, is it? But nevertheless, she will start writing soon at the blog, and she goes by the pen name Amara, and she will write about stuff related to entertainment, like music, video games, and the pop culture. this will stray a lot from my usual posts but I think it'll stay relevant. From now on, you could check out my page and Amara's blogger page in the menu on the top right corner of the blog site. And you could also check out the separate sections of authors of the blog in the same menu. So, that's for today's quick news, and see you guys soon!

Proofreading posts

It's been a busy week and that says a lot because it's still Thursday, but tonight I'm planning to proofread my posts, and I know that process should've been done before I publish the post but recently I've 'published and dash' a lot, I copied the draft for my post onto blogger and quickly publish it, because I had little to no time. So, I'm going to proofread them all tonight and at the same time, I will be changing a couple of wording here and there, so if you see any difference in my post after tonight, see it as an improvement for my blog! A hiatus notice too late

Okay, first of all, it felt like I've been ghosting this blog for some time now, without notice too. And I felt bad🫠 Right now, I'm working on my first fully-illustrated zine, which is the premiere/first issue or Bonnie: The Teen Detective! I've finished the rough draft of the story and now I'm working on the illustration sketches:D And I'm thinking of writing a graphic novel or a light novel too in the future, so stay tuned! But working on that project doesn't mean that I should be slacking off with the weekly articles, so I'll try my best to balance both of them. See you soon for (hopefully) this week's post!🌹🌹
